Teleprompter Tips
There are so many ways that you can use a teleprompter as a part of your streaming & video recording studio:
- Displaying Your Script: You can maintain eye contact with the camera (and therefore, the audience) while you read your script content.
- Maintain Eye Contact: Make eye contact with your audience during live streams, video meetings and calls, etc.
- Displaying Talking Points and Keywords: Instead of a full script, you can load key phrases, bullet points, or keywords. This can be a fantastic way to stay on track during a more conversational or less formal stream or recording. It gives you just enough structure without making you sound robotic.
- Presenting Interview Questions: For interview formats, you can load the questions onto the teleprompter. This allows you to maintain eye contact with your guest while still having the next question readily available. It creates a more natural and engaging flow for the audience.
- Showing Audience Comments and Questions: Imagine a live Q&A session where audience comments and questions are fed directly to the teleprompter. This allows you to seamlessly address them while looking directly at the camera, fostering a stronger connection with your viewers.
- Displaying Timers and Reminders: Need to keep your presentation within a specific time limit? A teleprompter can display a countdown timer, helping you pace yourself effectively. You can also use it for subtle reminders, like "mention call to action now" or "transition to next segment."
