Using vMix as a Webcam in Zoom, Skype, etc.
You can bring your full vMix production into Zoom, Skype, or anywhere that lets you select a webcam. Here is how:
Open the vMix project that you would like to bring in and select the camera view you want to use:
.Once that is open, click on the "External" option you see at the bottom of the screen (click on the word "External" - normally you won't need to adjust any of the defaul settings for this). The button will turn red when it's active:
Once you have that on, open the app that you want to bring the production into. For this example, we will use Zoom. Select the option in the application that lets you select the camera/video input you want to use in the meeting.and select "vMix Video."
Next, whatever mic/device you want to use for your audio. In my case, I'm using my Yeti Nano. This is also a good time to make sure you have the speakers you want to use to listen to the session/call:
- And that's it, you should be all ready to go — now you can stream to the call/meeting/session/etc.and get the benefit of everything vMix has to offer, enjoy!
